• Gum Etch is a blend of pure gums with extra desensitizers and 
  film formers. 
  
  In plate processors: assures plates are properly desensitized 
  and stored for short & long term. When water hits the plate it 
  reactivates desensitizing agents, assures quick clean start-ups.
  On plate by hand: use to store a plate before printing or when 
  the time comes save the plate for later use.
  On metering rollers: to keep desensitized, water attractive and 
  free of ink.
  As a fountain solution additive: to eliminate scumming, open 
  tiny reserves, eliminate slight scratching on plates caused by dirty 
  paper stock and help control water speeds.
  
  Recommendations for use:
  
  Plate processors: Use Gum Etch straight out of the container.
  On plates by hand: Pour a liberal amount onto a clean shop 
  towel and wipe with a side-to-side motion over the entire plate. 
  On metering rollers: Clean ink off the metering roller, pour 
  Gum Etch onto a clean sponge or shop towel, wipe metering 
  roller with a side-to-side motion until entire roller has been treated.
  A fountain solution additive: Add to fountain solution in 
  increments of 1% per mixed volume of water. Lowers pH, eliminates 
  

  scumming and keep reverses open.
